In this case, the setting is your member group but each setting has a specific feel to it. There are five to represent the five boroughs of NYC: Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. Each Spirit will claim one borough as their home borough, but they are able to travel freely among all five boroughs and even move if you'd like them to. Your Spirit does NOT have to go into the borough you think fits the CANON character. Put them where you want to put them, just remember they are very different cultures.

Manhattan is full of glitz and glam and the Spirits that tend to flock here are no different. They like their high society or they fit into it well. They generally come from money and good blood lines. Not all Manhattan Spirits are affluent, though. Some of them are part of the darker underbelly of the thriving City that Never Sleeps.

The Bronx has a grittier atmosphere. Things here are rough and tumble. Bronx Spirits tend to have darker pasts and embrace the darkness more than the light. That doesn't make them bad people, but they do understand how life can be tough. There are the Spirits who have a brighter outlook on life, but sometimes it's hard to come by them here.

Brooklyn draws artists and makers and those of whimsy. Its charm brings the Spirits who are incredibly artistic to its doorstep. Inspiration is abundant throughout the streets of Brooklyn and Brooklyn Spirits use it to their advantage, creating something beautiful. Then there are the Spirits who don't have an artistic bone in their body but still love the atmosphere and the way it invokes inspiration for everything.

The Spirits of Queens have an affinity for technology and sciences. They tend to be more in tune with their love for the sciences and maths than with anything else. The borough itself makes them vibrate with a sense of enthusiasm, almost as if adrenaline is being pumped right into them. Spirits who aren't science minded tend to enjoy Queens because of the promise of a future it offers them, a promise of leaving whatever behind and finding something better.

Staten Island Spirits are wayward Spirits. They aren't quite sure where they belong or if they'll ever truly belong. They travel from borough to borough, often times seeking out that feeling of 'home.' While they may have roots in Staten Island, they never stay there for very long - often times opting to not have a permanent place of address because they spend more of their time traveling than sleeping in a bed they may own themselves.

There are many ways to get from borough to borough. The more mundane ways (taxi, ferry, subway, walking) are always viable options and often times might be the option your Spirit chooses over any other form of travel. There are Spirits who have the ability to travel on their own - either through teleportation or flying or some other. For those Spirits who have an ability such as flying, there is an abandoned subway, City Hall Station, that loops through all five boroughs. It is specifically for the Spirits, something they've commandeered and made their own. For those Spirits who can't fly, but still would rather get to the boroughs much more quickly than the other options offer, there is a train that runs in that abandoned subway but it runs only twice a day - at midnight and at noon.
